I take her beauty in and I make it an object of my obsession
And my affection is lacking for the beauty of her soul
I think its time for my mind to take a hold of me

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son
that whoever would believe would become a child of God
And I'm belittling the girl that God loves tenderly
when I make her into something to fill me selfish need

You say that love is patient. You say that love is kind
You say that love endure all things
This love is hard to find in a word of brokeness
They say that love is easy. They say that love is blind
They say that love comes and goes
But in the meantime kids will have their fun - Look out for number one
